If we are going to share videos of different people from the same Sunday Op it might be worth having a look
at standardising how we do it.
Best quality would be 1920 x 1080 , but not everyone has the juice to run at such a high capture rate
1280 x 720 would be the next best setting to use , 25FPS is a decent min FPS

THIS IS THE OLDE GUIDE See above post for new one

Here is a guide for compressing videos without discernable loss in picture quality
To give you an idea of size 4Gb becomes 150Mb

1. Virtualdub -> http://www.virtualdub.org/download.html
2. Lame (mp3 codec) -> http://lame.buanzo.org/libmp3lame-win-3.99.3.zip
3. x264 codec -> http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/
4. A virtualdub coding preset -> attached to post

Install virtualdub, then install x264 codec finally copy the contents of the lamecode download into
C:\Program Files (x86)\VirtualDub\plugins32
folder and then right click on the inf file to install it

Configure 264
1. Go to Menu -> Video -> Compression
2. Select x264 -> Configure, then select SIngle pass ABR and use 10000 as the data rate
2. Click Zero latency and virtualdub hack, click ok

1. Run virtualdub and then goto FILE -> Load processing settings, select the preset from above
2. Goto FILE -> Queue Batch operation -> batch wizard
3. Click Route outputs to a different folder and select a folder for the compressed files (better is of a different HD from source)
4. Open the folder where your source fraps recordings are (better to use details folder view)
Select the LAST recording on the list , then hold down shift and select the FIRST recording, drag and drop these into the batchwizard window
5. Click Add to Queue -> Re-Save as AVI (this loads all the files into the batch job control manager)
6. Goto FILE -> Job Control , then click start on the right side and it will begin.

Any questions , give me a shout
